Henry D. Snitzler, well known throughout the city for his successful cultivation and care of plants and flowers, and gardener of the city hall grounds for many years, died in this city Sept. 25.
He retired from active work, because of failing health, several years ago. The beautiful hydrangea hedge around the library was planted through his courtesy.
Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Emma Snitzler.
Funeral services will be held at the Santa Cruz mortuary chapel at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday; thence to Holy Cross church where requiem mass will be. said at 10 o'clock. Rosary services will be. held Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock in the mortuary chapel.
