Formerly Lived at Warsaw.

The death is announced, Monday, January 13, at Junction City, Kansas, of Mr. George Rockwell, a pioneer business man of Kansas.

He was formerly a resident of Warsaw, and was engaged in mercantile pursuits. He remained in business there until the outbreak of the civil war, when he entered into the United States service in a Missouri volunteer regiment and served through the war, acting at one time as provost marshal at Lexington, Missouri.

After the close of the war, he engaged in business with his son, Captain B. Rockwell, at Junction City, Kansas, and became widely known throughout Central and Western Kansas for the extent and character of his mercantile and general operations.
