A native and life-long resident of Sanford, she was born Nov. 14, 1858, daughter of Richard and Mary Ricker Thurston.Her husband was Edward D. Gerry who died in 1902. They were married Dec. 15, 1887.
Mrs. Gerry was an honorary member of Clover Chapter, OES; Juniata Council, DP; and the Aid Society of the North Parish Congregational Church. She was a charter member of the William Reed Releif Corps.
She is survived by a son, Lewye Gerry, Willamantic, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs Ernest (Ethel) Roberts of Sanford, who resided with her and Mrs. G. Franklin (Blanche) Hobbs of Alfred; five grandchildren, seven Great-grandchildren and five great-great glandchildren.
The Rev. Warren S. Palmer officiated at the services in the Carll Funeral Home in Springvale. Burial is to be in Oakdale Cemetery.
