Funeral services in memory of Mrs. Jessie Carpenter, who died at the Oil City Hospital early Wednesday morning were held at the home of her mother in law, Mrs. O.H. Carpenter at Salem on Thursday. Rev. J.J. Gilbert of St. Johns Reformed Church of Emlenton officiated, and interment was made in the Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Carpenter came to Salem from her home in Louisiana, MO. two weeks ago for a visit with relatives and was stricken ill. She is survived by her husband, her mother, two sisters and one brother, all of Louisiana.
