Anton F. Fritsch, 80, of route 4, Manitowoc, retired farmer, died Monday night at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o'clock at Holy Innocents Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. E. A. Radey will officiate and burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Kasson, Wis.
Mr. Fritsch was born in Maple Grove in 1871 and 53 years ago married Miss May Heldger in Brillion. They located on a farm in Maple Grove and 12 years ago moved to Brillion. Last year they took up their residence on Menasha Avenue, northwest of Manitowoc. He was a member of the Holy Name Society.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Isabel Peterson of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Mrs. Verie Porter of Manitowoc; son, Arthur of West DePere; three brothers, Frank of Appleton, and Charles and Leonard of Brillion; sister, Mrs.
Sophia Meyer of Appleton; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Wednesday noon, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
