WILLIAM BERNARD
William J. Bernard, 78, of 1416 Madison street, died Friday night at Holy Family
hospital.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Shimek and Schwartz funeral
home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Bernard was born in Lithuania in 1868. He came to Manitowoc 50 years ago and
had resided here ever since. In 1895 he married Constance Burkart, who died four
years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry Gallager of Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Alma
Rule of Detroit.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. Sunday until time of
services.
