WENZEL BERNARD

Wenzel J. Bernard, 84, of 2019 S. 9th St., Manitowoc, died Monday, March 19, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Bernard was born Sept. 13, 1899, at Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Anna Bielek Bernard. Mr. Bernard was employed at Rahr Malting and Anheuser Busch Company in Manitowoc as a malster, retiring in 1963. He married the former Sodonia Stephany in June of 1920, at Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Sodonia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Annette Bernard and Warren and Pauline Bernard of Manitowoc; a brother, Joseph Bernard of Milwaukee; a sister, Rose Secorra of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, Helen, Brian, Paul, Mark, Rebecca, Rachel and Lisa; and three great grandchildren, Michael, Susan and Jerry. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m.
