LILLIAN BENTLEY (d. 1948)

Mrs. Walater Bentley, 58, of 428 North Fifth street, died early today at the
Holy Family hosptial. She had been in failing health several weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian church,
Dr. C.H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Bentley, nee Lillian Groll, was born in this city in 1892 (sic) and in 1908
was married to Walter Bentley. She was a member of the Women's Relief corps and
the Germania society.
Survivors are her husband; daughter, Mrs. Shirley Zeman of this city; four sons,
Gordon, Orville and Bernie of this city and Walter Jr., of Whitelaw; a sister,
Mrs. Edward Brodkorb of this city; and seven grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home after 7 p.m.
Saturday and will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Monday to lie in state until
the hour of services.
