Anton H. Benishek, 64, of Rt. 5, Manitowoc, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be at p.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, the Rev. Sherwood Roach? officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Benishek was born in rural Manitowoc on Oct. 22, 1892, son of Frank and Emma
Strouf Benishek. He became a rural mailman and continued at this until 4 years
ago when after 35 years of carrying the mail,..(line underinked)..Manitowoc, he
retired. His career was in..(line underinked)..from 1917-1919 he served overseas
with the quartermasters corps as a motorcycle repairman for the U.S. Navy. He
never married. He was a member of the American Legion..(line underinked)..in
Manitowoc.
Surviving are his mother, who lives at Rt. 5, Manitowoc; five brothers, Edward of
Maribel, Frank of Manitowoc, Charles of New Salem, N.D., Adolph of Milwaukee and
Paul of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Mathew Nemetz of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ben
Delzmann of Rt. 2, Two Rivers.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.
