Dorothy G. Bender, 65, of 424 N. Lake St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, April 12, at the family residence.
Funeral services will be 12:30 .m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 1 p.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo Schmitt will officiate at the mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bender, nee Dorothy Gibson, was born Aug. 23, 1920, at Spartenburg, S.C., daughter of Mildred Bullington Gibson and the late John Gibson. She was married to Dr. Frank V. Bender, Oct. 7, 1944, at Green Bay. She attended public schools at Milwaukee and was a graduate of Riverside High School of Milwaukee. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1954, residing here since. Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1967. Mrs. Bender presently held the position of Office Manager for Orthopaedic Associates of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Frank V. Bender of Manitowoc and John R. and Linda Bender of Manitowoc; her mother, Mrs. Mildred Gibson of Manitowoc; a brother, John Gibson of Milwaukee; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Michael Barnard of Green Bay and two grandchildren, Andre and Laura Bender.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday where a prayer service will be 7 p.m. Sunday by Deacon Don Gigure.
