Tot Suffocates in Baby Crib
Luanne Emma Bellin found by Parents
A nine months old child suffocated in its crib at a west side home early Wednesday
morning.
The child was Luanne Emma Bellin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bellin of 1716
Western avenue.
The parents found the child smothered in the crib blankets shortly after midnight.
A fire department rescue squad, Lt. Walton Hansen, Reinhart Herzog and Emil Wells
from the Franklin street station, answered the call and worked for 40 mintues in a
vain effort to revive the child.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer funeral home. The
Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Born in this city August 20, 1950, Luanne Emma is survived by her parents, brother,
Paul Reed, three sisters, Ruth Ann, Suzanne and Diane, all of this city; grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. William Bellin of Two Rivers and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Reimer of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
