Hugo O. Belinske, 72, formerly of 930 S. 37th St., Manitowoc, a resident of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, March 16, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Philip Hoffmann will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, with military rites accorded at graveside by Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post 659.
Mr. Belinske was born April 25, 1908, at Manitowoc, son of the late Hugo and Katherine Knechtal Belinske, Sr. He resided at Manitowoc all his life and attended Manitowoc schools. He married Blanche M. Stupecky Sept. 9, 1941, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Prior to his retirement in 1942, he had been employed at Rahr Malting for many years and also had been employed at Grey Iron Foundry. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army in the European Theater of Operation from June 28, 1943, to Sept. 18, 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche M.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Nancy Belinske of Manitowoc, and Gerald and Karen Belinske of Green Bay; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Phillip Bonk of Panama Canal Zone; a brother, Francis of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Lughton (Marge) Markes of Manitowoc, and seven grandchildren, Leon, Peter, Lisa, Patrick, Mark, Kevin and Ryan. He had been married to Kathleen McCarthy who preceded him in death. Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Tuesday evening where a prayer service will be conducted at 8 o'clock by Rev. Philip Hoffmann.
