Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Phipps Memorial Chapel in First
Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Plank will officiate. Cremation
will have taken place and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Belgum was born Aug. 12, 1890, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Max and
Amelia Herzog Richter. She attended Manitowoc schools and later Milwaukee State
Teachers College, Milwaukee, and was graduated from the University of Montana in
Missoula, Mont. She then taught schools in the Green Bay area. Her husband, Bjorn
Belgum, preceded her in death in 1963. She was a member of First Presbyterian
Church.
Survivors include a son, John of Chatsworth, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Belgum,
of Chicago, Ill., and two grand-daughters, Catherine Bohte of Greenfield, Wis.,
and Nancy Belgum of Chatsworth, Calif.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Jens Funeral Home and Crematory.
Manitowoc is handling funeral arrangements.
