Walter C. Beilke, 79, of 605 State St., Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, April 2, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Beilke was born April 8, 1902, at Reedsville, son of the late Herman and Auguste Kohls Beilke. He grew up and was educated at Reedsville. He lived in various areas moving to Manitowoc in 1954 where he made his home. He married Lillian Scharenbroch June 9, 1928, at Brillion. Mr. Beilke was an employee of the City of Manitowoc, retiring in 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harland and LaVerne Beilke of Fond du Lac, LeRoy and Eunice Beilke of Manitowoc, and Robert and Janis Beilke of Route 1, Whitelaw; a sister, Mrs. Viola Hesler of Holly Hills, Fla.; six grandchildren, nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday until the time of services.
