Hugo Beduhn, Employed at Detroit, Visits Parents Here,
Suffers Attack of Pneumonia and Passes Away Sunday
Hugo Beduhn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beduhn, 1321 South 11th street,
died at the hospital last night after a short illness of pleuro-pneumonia.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 from the German Lutheran
church. The death of Mr. Beduhn is a severe shock to family and friends. He
returned here two weeks ago from Detroit, where he had been employed, for a
visit to his parents and to recuperate from what he believed was only a
severe cold, but which developed into pneumonia. Mr. Beduhn was removed to
the hospital following the attack and his condition became gradually worse
and late yesterday hope was abandoned and death came last evening.
Decedent was 18 years of age, having been born in this city Jan. 1, 1899.
He attended the local schools and after leaving school became an apprentice
in the machinist trade, securing a position at Detroit where he had been
employed for some time. Besides his parents, Mr. Beduhn is survived by two
brothers, William this city and Richard at Kiel.

A large quantity of flowers sent to fellow workers of the late Hugo Beduhn
at Detroit and intended for the casket, failed to arrive here until after
the funeral of Mr. Beduhn had been held yesterday.
