DANIEL E. BEDUHN

Daniel E. Beduhn, 62, of 2112 Markham St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, Jan. 3, in the emergency room at Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur C. Senn, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Beduhn was born Dec. 17, 1920, at Two Rivers, son of the late Walter and Margaret Sibenhorn Beduhn. He attended Two Rivers Parochial Schools and was graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1938. He married Florence Pierce June 26, 1943, at Manitowoc.
Mr. Beduhn joined the Manitowoc Engineering Company in 1942, where he held several engineering and managerial positions, including Contract Products Manager. In that capacity he promoted Manitowoc crane and excavator products worldwide, assisting in the design and modification of these products to meet customer's specific needs. Since 1974 he also managed the firm's Technical Services Department February, 1961, he was appointed to Vice President of Engineering of the company. Mr. Beduhn was a longstanding member of the Specialized Carriers and Riggers Association and a current member of its Governing Committee.
Mr. Beduhn was a very active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He served two terms on the church council as president of the congregation as well as terms on the Board of Education and Board of Elders. He was a Youth Bible Class leader for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Florence, a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Rita Beduhn of West Bloomfield, Mich.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Rudi Bruss of Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bert and Rissy Beduhn of Mesa, Ariz., and Chuck and Eloise Beduhn of Hilltop Lakes, Texas; four grandchildren, Jeff and Sarah Bruss and Nick and Annie Beduhn and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Edith Buege and Mrs. Pauline Herzog.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from Thursday noon until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Wisconsin Arthritis Foundation.
