JANE HELEN BEDELL
Mrs. Edward S. Bedell, widow of a prominent county farmer, died Friday night.
Christian Science services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, Manitowoc. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
She was Jane Pollock in Manitowoc and attended Oshkosh state teachers college
and later taught schools in the county. She took up nursing and was graduated
from the course at the Battle Creek sanatorium in Michigan. She did public
heath nursing in Milwaukee and Pittsburgh and was also county nurse.
Following her marriage to Mr. Bedell they located in Manitowoc Rapids. He died
several years ago. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. C. R. Knuth and Mrs. O.J. Boettcher of
Manitowoc, Mrs. E. T. Dempsey of Chilton.
