Mrs. Augusta (Gustie) Becker, 72, of 821 South 18th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday, February 25, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate with cremation and burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Becker was born October 27, 1911, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Anton and Veronica Pospieszny Werner. Mrs. Becker attended schools in Manitowoc. She married Daniel Becker of October 10, 1936, at Milwaukee. The couple came to Manitowoc after their marriage to make their home. Mrs. Becker was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel and three sisters, Teresa Carlson of Waukegan, Ill,., Viola Behnke of Manitowoc and Leona Vanlanner of Liberty Bell, Illinois. She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, and at the church from 12 noon until the time of services. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or the donors choice.
