David Burket

Was born 22 Feb 1798 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
Son of; John William Burket and Catherine McClure (1776-1833). David Burket married Mary Ann Zumwalt in either 1817 (Family Bible) or 1818 (gravestone) in St. Charles County of the Missouri Territory.

David Burket's parents John William and Catherine McClure Burket died in 1833 in the cholera epidemic across Texas and northern Mexico in that year in which many settlers and residents of Mexico lost their lives (Empresario Martin DeLeon and the family of James Bowie in Monclava were among them). His widow Mary Zumwalt Burkett, his son Bart Burkett and other descendants have markers at Hochheim but there are none for David.
