Blanche Mary Kanable Noell, 92, Lakeview, Ore., died Monday, July 1, 2002, at the Lake District Hospital Long Term Care Facility in Lakeview.

Mrs. Noell was born June 2, 1910, in Cooperton, Okla., the daughter of Ivan Levi and May Kanable. She moved by horse and wagon to Stillwater, Okla., and later to Ponca City, Okla. She married William Floyd "Bill" Noell on Jan. 6, 1932, in Winfield, Kan. In 1952, they moved their family to Kansas City, and after her husband's death in 1970, she returned to Ponca City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Silver Tones singing group, Sunday school, serving for missions and orphanages and being an "XYZ" dinner coordinator for many years. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Home Extension group. While in Kansas City, she was an active member of the Broadway Baptist Church and was an auxiliary volunteer at Baptist Medical Center. She was a homemaker and for many years was a caregiver to her in-laws who resided with the family. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Barnes, her parents, two brothers, Jasper and Bert Kanable, her twin sister, Bertha Trussell, and a son-in-law, Floyd Orlick.

Her survivors include three daughters, Bertha Orlick, Paragould, Ark., Sandra Hamm and husband, Ernie, Blue Springs, and Lauri Crocker and husband, Marvin, Lakeview; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Nancy Barnes, Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Bill and Jackie Barnes, Janis and Jim Grau, Jeff and Sherrie Barnes, Mary and Kendall Smith, Jennifer and Jay Chen, Becky and Jason Lux, Amy and Mike Ash, and Ben Hamm; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Tyler and Malorie Barnes, Stefanie and Jennifer Barnes, Jake Smith, Michael Chen, Allene Lux, Christopher and Laura Ash, and Christy and Spencer Grau; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Bea Kanable, Neosho, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Ponca City. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Ponca City. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The family suggests contributions to the Hospice or Lake District Long Term Care, 700 South J St., Lakeview, Ore. 97630 or to your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the direction of the Ousley Osterman Huffsttuter Funeral Chapel, Lakeview.
