PENDLETON — James W. Fisher, 67, of Pendleton, passed away May 28, 2008, at Saint John's Medical Center in Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born March 31, 1941, in Lapel, and graduated from Pendleton High School in 1959.He retired in 1991 from Delco Remy after 30 years of service.
James was an avid Corvette enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to Las Vegas with family and friends. He also enjoyed swap meets and car shows.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Jane Fisher of Pendleton; son, Tim (wife, Deirdre) Fisher of Cicero; two grandchildren, Payton Fisher and Chase Fisher; sister, Marcia Neely of Pendleton; niece, Shelaine Neely of Pendleton; nephew, Shelby Neely of Pendleton; longtime companion, Carolyn Dickey, and her daughter, Tina (husband, Walt) Robbins; and longtime friends, Jack Stepp of Anderson and James (wife, Jenny) Riffey of Pendleton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Fisher.
Services will be conducted at noon Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Purciful officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
