His pallbearers were Alan McCoy, Sam Goss, Don West, Bird England, Ricky West and Clyde Brashear. However, Sam Goss was killed at his job in Tulsa before Pigeon's funeral when a concrete pipe fell on him, crushing him. Sam was buried in the new suit he had purchased to wear to his grandfather's funeral.
