Richard started his working career in the Maritime industry where he worked on ships in the Port of Houston. He later spent several years erecting steel buildings and finally went on to become a truck driver for more than 15 years. Richard was gifted with his hands and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed socializing with his friends after work at his local hangout. Richard enjoyed spending time outdoors at parks and having picnics with his family. He was a self taught artist and was fondly referred to by his family as "Pop". Richard will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A graveside service for Richard will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:00 am at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Cullen, 2426 Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
