Omer C. Sherwood Dies In Milton

MILTON - Omer C. Sherwood, age 75, died at his home in Milton, Sunday evening. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Connersville.
Survivors include the widow, Ora Sherwood; one daughter, Mrs. Dorcas Newhouse of Connerville; one son, Lorin Sherwood of Connersville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hortman of Troutwood, OH; one step-son, Wilbur Gift of Dayton, OH; seven sisters: Mrs. Carrie Bowman, Mrs. Ada Weiman, Mrs. Mae Creibaum, Mrs. Gladys Kneple, all of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Hazel Scudder of Kokomo, Mrs. Nora Treisler of Dayton, OH and Mrs. Joyce Mathais of Rosebeck, OH; one brother, James Sherwood of Fort Wayne; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Howard and Son Funeral Home in Cambridge City. Reverends Charles Alford and E. G. Jann will officiate with burial in the City Cemetery at Connersville. Friends may call at the funeral home.
