She and Ferris A. Taskey were married on May 22, 1943, in Westernville, and together they had three children: Ronald D. Taskey, Santa Margarita, CA; William S. Taskey, Holiday Rambler, Texas; and JoAnn L. Taskey, Ashland, OH.
Mary was an active member of the Westernville Presbyterian Church, where she was an enthusiastic participant in church activities, including suppers and children's programs. She also was a life member of Eastern Star, Lake Delta Chapter, where she served as matron, and the Lee American Legion Auxiliary. She was a dedicated supporter of the Westernville Library, of which her mother was a founder, and the Westernville Historical Society. She particularly enjoyed vacation camping and boating in the Adirondacks at Bald Mountain. Her family remembers her as a first-rate baker of rhubarb pies and as someone who always savored a good laugh.
In addition to her three children, Mary is survived by two grandchildren, Lisa Forren and Matthew Taskey; and two great-grandchildren, all of Virginia; and one daughter-in-law, Karen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Everett O. Warcup; her beloved sister, Clara Lennie; and her husband, Ferris A. Taskey.
The family offers sincere thanks to care givers who assisted Mary in her final months, including the staff at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, and they recognize her many friends and extended family, including brothers-in-law Robert and Jack Taskey, who stood beside her throughout life.
