Stuart, Va., August 16 - Colonel Abram Staples, one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Patrick county, died at his home, at Stuart, yesterday afternoon. He was a first cousin of Judge Waller R. Staples and a near relative of Attorney-General Samuel W. Williams. He leaves a widow, two daughters and seven sons. [The times dispatch.
