Anna E. Austin, 80, of Rossville, died on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 10:10 am at Milner's Healthcare Center in Rossville.

She was born November 21, 1931, in Lafayette, the daughter of Harry G. and Caroline G. Horn Young.

On January 28, 1952, she married John Austin; he preceded her in death on November 3, 2008.

Anna graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1950. She worked as a nurse's aide for 17 years at Milner's Healthcare Center and helped her husband, John, with the dairy farm. Anna was a member of Middlefork Old German Baptist Church and served from 1974-1989 on the Rossville Volunteer Ambulance as an EMT. She loved to read and sew.

Surviving Anna are her children, Jerry and Debbie Austin of Rossville, Jimmy Austin and companion, Lisa, of Buck Creek, Jeffery and Cindy Austin of North Port, FL, Jane and Ralph Clark of Villa Park, IL, and Jenny Austin and Bruce Snider of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joe) Rotar, Nicki (Kyle) Pearson, Krista (Dustin) Niglio, Lynn (Ryan) Holloway, and Jason Austin; two stepgrandchildren, Kimberly (Kevin) Phillips and Tony (April) Snider; ten great-grandchildren, five stepgreat-grandchildren; and also several nieces and nephews including special niece, Caroline Hurt.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2012, from 4-8 pm at Bodine Funeral Home in Rossville.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012, at 10:00 am at Middlefork Old German Baptist Church in Rossville with the Home Brethren officiating.
