American actress of films and televison. She began her professional career as a model in New York's Garment District. She appeared in bit roles in a number of films, including "Ocean's Eleven" (1960), "Birdman of Alcatraz" (1962), "What a Way to Go!" (1964) and "Live a Little, Love a Little" (1968). She had more prominent roles in three of the "Beach Party" series of films, "Beach Blanket Bingo" (1965), "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini" (1965) and "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini" (1966), as Boots, one of the two female members of the "Rat Pack." She also appeared in "The Swinger" (1966, as Sally) and "2000 Years Later" (1969, as Miss Forever). TV guest appearances included "The Joey Bishop Show," "Burke's Law" and "Get Smart." She married Stuart C. Nelson July 4, 1967 and the couple had two daughters, Tiffany (b.1970) and Sabrina (b.1973). On the afternoon of Dec.26, 1975, Myrna, her husband, daughters and mother, along with three other passengers (including Bobby and Richie Petersen, the sons of publisher-entrepreneur Robert Petersen and his wife Margie), boarded a chartered Mitsubishi airplane from Denver's Stapleton Airport for a 30-minute flight to Granby, CO for a holiday skiing vacation. Approximately 20 minutes into the flight, in adverse weather conditions, the plane crashed into a 11,800 foot mountain 12 miles south of Rollinsville, about 25 miles south of the plane's destination. All aboard perished.
