W.L. Duncan W. L. Duncan, a former resident of South Portsmouth who moved to Quincy, Ky., a month ago, died at his home there at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The deceased was ill only a few days with neuralgia and did not take to his bed until about noon Tuesday. At that time a decided change for the worse was noticed and he sent for his children to come to his bedside. Mr. Duncan was born in Carter county, Ky. He was 72 years of age February 22 last. Thirty two years ago he was married. His wife, Mary A. Duncan and seven children surviving. The children and Mrs. Albert Ramey of South Portsmouth, Minnie, Dora, Parthena and Naomi at home, Arthur at New Boston and Willard at home. Duncan was a retired singing teacher and had taught classes at Greenup, Grayson and other places. He had been retired for five years. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at Quncy with burial near Carter, Ky, in the family cemetery.
