Son of Charlotte and Josiah Bailey Sr.

First wife was Mary Ann Bailey (his cousin and daughter of David Bailey.) Married in Topsfield, January 17, 1840.

Children of Levi and Mary Ann may have included: Sarah E., Henry W., David, Charles, Georgianna, Nathaniel, Jane, Amy, John and Edson.

Second wife was Sarah E. D. (Messer) Sibley of Enfield, Maine. Married June 28, 1871 in Topsfield. (Alternate date is July 18, 1871 in Penobscot County, Maine.) Sarah E. D. was the widow of George Sibley who died in the Civil War.)

Children of Levi and Sarah: Mary Adalaide ("Addie"), Alvin Roscoe, Eva Mable, and Minnie E. Bailey. An infant named Silas is listed in the 1880 Census.

Eva died about age 7 due to burns. My grandmother, Sarah (Cochran) Landry (daughter of Addie), said that Eva's clothes caught fire when she was too close to a fireplace.

Levi and Sarah lived near the dam on East Musquash Lake. Other Baileys are buried there including Infant Bailey.
