Servetus' Civil War pension file says he was born near Antioch, Clinton Co, OH, but he could have been born in Highland Co, OH, and still been "near Antioch." In the 1850 census, he and his parents lived in Green(e) Twp, Clinton Co, OH.

By the 1860 census, they were in Penn Twp, Highland Co, OH. He enlisted on 30 Jan 1865 in Co E, 191st Ohio Infantry, then listing his residence as Samantha, Clinton Co, OH. He was discharged about 27 Aug 1865. In 1867-1868, he was a student at Ohio Wesleyan College, Delaware Co, OH.

On 11 Aug 1883, he was dropped from membership by Clear Creek Monthly Meeting (Quakers -- Society of Friends) in Highland Co, OH.

He lived in Philadelphia about 1906-1910 and then in Kennett Square after about 1910. In the 1910 census he was listed as manufacturer of "chocolatine," and his pension file lists him as a manufacturer of chocolate in 1911, residing in Philadelphia.

His wife was Mary Elizabeth Vining Achor (1843-1891), possibly called "Minnie." She died in Brooklyn, Queens Co, NY, on 1 Feb 1891. [She died without a will, but there is a petition for administration of her estate on file in Kings Co, available on FamilySearch listing the date of death.]

They had two daughters, Cora Achor Beekman (born 1870 in OH) and Emma Mabel/Mable Achor Pusey Jergensen (born 1881 in NY); her 2nd husband was John Jergensen, b. Norway; he and Mabel were in the 1940 census in Parkside Borough, Delaware Co, PA, w/ their adopted daughter, Dorothy Pusey, age 24, b. PA), presumably Mabel's niece).
