Victor Emmanuel Grant of Grass Valley passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was 78.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Grass Valley.
Vic was born on April 2, 1934, to Victor Emanuel Grant and Juanita Grant in Albuquerque, N.M. He married Pat Daniels on Nov. 12, 1960, in Las Vegas. They moved to Grass Valley in 1973 where he worked for Pacific Bell as a Communications Technician and retired after 39 years.
Vic enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends and going out for coffee each morning.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanie; daughters, Denise (Sean) Griffis, Deborah (Mark) Maves and Deann (Steve) McEvoy; grandchildren, Jennifer Benson, Derek Matichak, Brittany Dowling, Brendon, Kaila and Victoria McEvoy, Caden and Cori Maves and Seanna, Kylie and Allie Griffis; and great-grandchildren, Brayden, Addison and Coltin Dowling and Lucas, Ryan and Shawn Benson.
Vic was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, and daughter, Deidre.
Arrangements are in the care of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
