A. W. Kimball, son of Alvah Kimball, was born January 24, 1847, at Chester, Me. He followed lumbering and river driving until 1874, when he entered a store at Lincoln, Me. Here he remained until November, 1879, when he came to Clinton, where he was employed in various vocations until 1885, when he added a dry goods business to the millinery business, which his wife started in 1879, and since that time they have carried on a general dry and fancy goods business.
He married Ella Jennie Faulkner, of Weston, Me. They have one adopted daughter, Elberta A.
