William Duitsman, 89, of Danville died at 6 a.m. Tuesday (July 24, 2012) at the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville.
He was born Nov. 15, 1922 in Lytton, Iowa, a son of Ike George and Emma Louise Malm Duitsman. He was preceded in death by two sisters. He married Betty Lou Ford Oct. 5, 1946, in Danville. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Rex Alan Duitsman and Todd Lee Duitsman, both of Danville; two sisters, Marjorie Hike of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Mary Lou Reeder, of Lafayette, Indiana; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during World War II.
