Mary Bennett Thomas, 75 of Green Mountain, died Thursday, November 13, 2014.
A native of Bailey Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Hester Peterson Bennett. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Thomas; brother, Albert Bennett; and sisters, Ruth Bennett, Patsy Barnett, and Pauline Bennett.
She is survived by her loving son, Greg Thomas (Melanie) of Oxford, PA; daughters, Donna House (Kent ) and Deniese Thomas both of Green Mtn.; brothers, J.M. Bennett (Kit) of Nottingham, PA, Malone Bennett of West Grove, PA and Herbert Bennett (Lois) of Green Mtn.; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Kerrie, Erica, Taylor, Kristopher, and Mary; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Ella, and Sophie. She is also survived by her nephew, Kyle Peterson, whom she loved like a son; honorary grandchildren, Eric and Andrew Hayworth; both specials friends, Lisa Rhodes and niece Shirley Hughes, who she loved like daughters; Aunt Minnie Lucas; sister-in-law Evelyn Bennett; brother-in-laws, Herman Barnett and Lee Barnett; beloved dog, Smokey; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, November 17 at Bennett Cemetery. Ronald Thomas will be officiating.
