Betty Amen
Services for Mrs. Delbert (Betty L.) Amen, 54, Route 3, Norfolk, will be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Victory Road Evangelical Free Church. The Rev. Ronald Gunsolley will officiate with burial in prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 3 - 9 p.m. at the Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Amen suffered an apparent heart attack at her home Tuesday and was taken to a local hospital where she died Wednesday.
She was born Sept 30, 1936 at Norfolk to the late John and Inez (Atwood) Ballard. She was graduated from Norfolk High School and married Delbert Amen on Dec.6, 1953 at Norfolk. She was active in Norfolk Community Theatre for a number of years and was past president of the Nebraska Dairy Women.
Surviving are her husband, one son, John Amen and his wife, Sharon of Norfolk, five daughters, Mrs. Bill (Susan) McManigal of Winnetoon, Mrs. Gary (Rebecca) Christiansen of Archer, Ann Schnoor and Katherine Finkral, both of Battle Creek, and Mrs. Steve (Donna) Wichman of Stanton, 16 grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Don Ballard and Orlene Sevenning, both of Norfolk, and her Twin, Bonny Korth of Osmond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Clara Beatty, two step-brothers and one sister in infancy.
