KENNETH COREY, 73

GREENVILLE - Kenneth Corey, 73, Lakeside Drive, Derby Lake, Stanton, died suddenly Tuesday evening, April 29, 1997, at United Memorial Hospital emergency room.

He was born May 10, 1923, in Bushnell Township, Montcalm County, to Paul and Jenny Wicker-ham Corey:

He was a retired automobile mechanic. Ken was a veteran of World War Il, serving as staff sergeant in the United States Air Force as an aerial gunner in the European Theater.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Bushon Corey, in

1972; and one brother, Clifford.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Higgins Corey, whom he married May 10, 1980. Also surviving are his children, William and Marlene Corey of Mount Pleasant, Kathleen and Michael Ball of Greenville; his stepchildren, Marshall Higgins of Greenville, Mark and Kecia Higgins of Gowen, Mary Etta Basney of Remus; three brothers and one sis-ter-in-law, Ned Lee of Sheridan, Wilford and Doris Corey of Carson City, Don Corey of Greenville; two sisters, Marjorie Jensen, Jean Ten-brink, both of Grand Rapids; his mother-in-law, Leah Larsen of Greenville; two

Gaelyn and Melvin Jogensen of

Sidney, Frances and Art Gorman of Battle Creek; two grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.

Memorial funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan.
