He was born on 15 February, 1909 in Provo, Utah, the son of George Williams Thiriot and Alvira Rhoana Henrie.He married Florence L. Wadsworth (Bea) on 23 February, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada; later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Dean was raised in Provo. and Pahranagat Valley, Nevada, and lived in Panaca, and Eureka, Nevada. He spent the last few years in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was involved in the mining industry for much of his life, serving as the superintendent of the Diamond Mine in Eureka, Nevada for many years. He served in several church callings in the LDS Church throughout his life.
Survived by wife, Bea, Salt Lake City; and six children, Roger D. (Bonnie Bracken), St. George; J. Steven (Merlene Schreiner), Bountiful; Joan Yockey (Terry), Salt Lake City; Dr. Randall C., Opelousas, Louisiana; D. Clark (Cherie Jolley), Harrogate, England; Kristin Sperry, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Joseph E. and G. William, Jr. (Bill) of Lass Vegas, Nev.; and 27 grandchildren.
Dean was known and loved for his hard work, great mechanical skills, never-ending helpfulness, his unique sense of humor, sweet disposition, wonderful cooking and love of family and adoration of children.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 3, 1994 in the Taylorsville 19th Ward, 2030 West Chateau Avenue, 5225 South. Friends may call for viewing at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 South 200 East, Sunday 5-7 p.m. and Monday, 11:5 a.m. to 12:45 p.m prior to services.
