A memorial celebration of life for Sharon Ann Ratliff Wilkinson, 70, of Killeen, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Pidcoke Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilkinson died July 22, 2012 peacefully at her home surrounded by family.
She was born to Raymond and Velma (Roy) Ratliff on Oct 15, 1941, in Corpus Christi. Moving to Killeen at an early age, she attended Killeen schools.
Sharon married H. E. "Bud" Wilkinson on April 15, 1961, in Killeen,Texas and it was here where they raised their three children, Leslie, Greg and Melissa.
She was a member of Central Children Church in Killeen. She retired from KISD after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Killeen Educational Secretary's Association. Sharon enjoyed many activities, including her Wednesday night card games and Friday night dominoes.
Sharon was a gentle, loving and beautiful person. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend., She left us much too soon, and we will miss her dearly.
Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Bud: children, Leslie Oliveras of Austin, Gregory Wilkinson and bis wife, Jeanie, of Benbrook and Melissa Cruce and her husband, David, of Copperas Cove; two sisters,Susan Nelson,of Trophy Club and Donna Triplett, of Austin; two brothers, Dannie Ray Ratliff, of Harker Heights, and Rodney Ratliff, of Knoxville, Tenn; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends who will mourn her passing.
