Obituary- Sigourney Review, December 5, 1934
Alice Hall, daughter of J. R. and M. E. Hall passed away November 28, 1934, at the home of her sister Mrs. David Garrett, Los Angeles, California, aged 78 years, five months, and 26 days.
She was born in Bellfountain, O., June 2, 1856 and came to Iowa with her parents when nine years of age. She was a resident of Sigourney for 38 years until two years ago when she went to Los Angeles to be cared for in the home of her sister.
She was a member of Methodist Church at Sigourney and remained a faithful Christian to the end.
She leaves to mourn her departure one brother, William C. Hall of Richland, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. David Garrett of Los Angeles, California, three nieces, three nephews and a host of friends.
For the last two years she has been in failing health but her death was caused by a heart attack.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. A. Longnecker at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 3 at the Reynolds Funeral Parlors with interment in the West Cemetery."
