Obit. Floyd L. Hamilton, 85, 2512 Spooner Ave., Altoona, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 17, 1995, at The Grace Edgewood Living Facility in Altoona. Mr. Hamilton was born April 6, 1909, in Spring Lake, Wis., to William and Mina (Murray) Hamilton and was a graduate of Cornell High School on April 28, 1937. He marred the former Rose Beranek in Eau Claire. She passed away in 1987. He was employed by Uniroyal Rubber Co. as a supervisor until the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Elks Club No. 402 and the Moose Club No. 1408. He was also a longtime member of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and had received numerous awards for his dancing achievements. He is survived by two brothers, Vilas (Jessie) Hamilton of Eau Claire and Norman Hamilton of Minneapolis; one sister-in-law, Harriet Hamilton; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wilfred and Lloyd; and five sisters, Vera, Etta, Deloris, Merle and Viola. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 20, 1995, at Immaculate Conception Church, with Rev. Eugene Klink officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
