The Sebels moved from Denver to Buena Vista where Willie was reared. He married Frances Margarite Bertschy on March 3, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class during World War II. He was honorably discharged on May 13, 1952. The couple had two children. He worked for Buena Vista Correctional Complex for 30 years and retired in 1982. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family. At the time of his death, he had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requested all donations to be made to the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Buena Vista. Arrangements were by Runyan Mortuary.
