Mrs. George Baumann, 61, nee Mary Kirt, of route 5, Manitowoc, died
last night at the Holy Family hospital.
She came to Manitowoc yesterday in apparent good health, and was taken
ill and moved to the hospital where she died of a heart attack.
Mrs. Baumann was born in Kossuth in 1884, and in 1901 was married to
George Baumann. They operated a tavern at Reifs Mills for 13 years and
then moved to a farm near there, which they conducted for 10 years
before retiring.
Survivors are the husband; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Roob of Milwaukee,
Mrs. Arthur Bauch of Two Creeks, Mrs. George Komoroske of Fisherville;
son, George, Jr., of Mishicot; brother, Joseph of this city; sister, Mrs.
Katherine Sperl of route 5, Manitowoc, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Wattawa, Urbanek
and Schlei funeral home and at 10 o'clock at the St. Augustines Catholic
church, Reifs Mills, the Rev. Joseph Rauch officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemtery.
The body may be viewed after 7 o'clock this evening at the funeral home.
