Mrs. Marie F. Bauman(sic), 79, of 817 MacArthur Dr., Manitowoc, died
Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
The Very Rev. Clement Kern will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bauman, nee Marie Vodicka, was born June 25, 1890, in
Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Anton and Magdeline Haltuf
Vodicka. She came to the United States at age 18 and was married
in 1911 to John Bauman at Omaha, Neb. They came to Manitowoc to
reside in 1927. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Senior
Citizens, Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and Germania society.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Mary Zywicke, Mrs. Lydia
Nelson, Mrs. Richard (Johanna) Herman and Mrs. James (Betty) Duzeski
of Manitowoc and Mrs. John (Ann) Rizzo of Albuquerque, N.M.: four
sons, Anton and John of Manitowoc, Joseph of Lake Havasue City,
Ariz., and Donald of Lompoc, Calif.; three brothers, Anton, Louis
and Frank of Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Stazzoni of Council
Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Julia Kolc and Mrs. Francis M??ichar of Omaha;
27 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Four children and three
grandchildren preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home, Ninth Street entrance, after
3 p.m. Sunday where at 7:30 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.
