GEORGE BAUMANN

George Baumann, 74, (photo) lifelong resident of Kossuth, died Monday
night at the Holy Family hospital, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at the Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home and at 10 o'clock at St. Augustine Catholic church
at Reifs Mills. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and interment will
be in Evergreen cemetery in this city.
Mr. Baumann was born in Kossuth in 1875 and in 1901 married Miss Mary
Kirt. They operated a tavern at Reifs Mills for 13 years and then located
on a farm in Kossuth. His wife died in 1945, since which time he had
resided with his son, George Jr., of route 2, Manitowoc.
Survivors are a son, George Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Roob of
Milwaukee and Mrs. George Komoroske of Larrabee; two borthers (sic),
Michael and Joseph of Reifs Mills; sister, Mrs. Louis Delsman of this
city; five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited
at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
