Notes from Newton:
Mrs. Adolph Bauer, a well known resident of Newton, died Sunday
after a few days illness with the influenza. She was a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Detjen Sr., of Manitowoc and was 28 years of age.
She is survived by her husband and one son, also her parents, two
sisters, Mrs. Otto Kuehne and Mrs. Otto Weyer, both of Newton and
four brothers, Henry Detjen Jr., Reinhold and Erick of Manitowoc and
Carl of Milwaukee. The deceased was an estimable young woman and was
held in high esteem by all who knew her. The funeral was held Wednesday
from St. John's church. Rev. Schuppe officiated.
