Adolph H. Bauer, 77, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon at home
after a coronary attack.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a. m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rev. B. L.
Krembs will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Bauer was born July 16, 1886, in the Town of Newton, son of the late
Ferdinand and Mary Roedig Bauer, and always lived in the township. He
married Eleanor Detjen in 1914. She died in 1918, and Sept. 30, 1950,
he married Mrs. Mary Sadkowski Miller at 5t Isadore Catholic Church,
Osman.
A farmer until retiring in 1953, Mr. Bauer attended the Agricultural
Short Course at University of Wisconsin, Madison. He had served as clerk
of the township for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife, a son Charles Bauer of Rt. 3, Manitowoc; two
step-sons Wilfred Miller of Rt. 1, Newton, and Leo Miller of Milwaukee;
a hrother, Richard Bauer of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph
Buretta and Mrs. Mary Keen of Manitowoc; and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday where the
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
