ELEANOR L. BAUCH

Eleanor L. Bauch, age 89, of 7510 Bauch Road, town of Manitowoc Rapids, entered
eternal rest Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, 7531 English Lake Road, Newtonburg. Officiating will be the Rev. Victor
Headrick with burial to be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Eleanor was born March 4, 1914 in the town of Newton. She was the daughter of
the late Erwald and Wanda Meyer Wernecke. She was baptized on March 27, 1914.
Eleanor attended Newtonburg Public and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran School.
On Aug. 11, 1934, she married Henry August Bauch at her parent's home. She and
her late husband had a dairy farm on the Bauch homestead. Her husband Henry
preceded her in death May 5, 1981. Eleanor was a member of St. John's Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, where she was also confirmed in her faith. She
enjoyed meeting with neighbors during monthly meetings of the Alverno Homemakers
Club and kept busy sewing and tending to her flower gardens.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Audrey and Marvin Laabs, town of
Manitowoc Rapids; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: David and his sons:
Brandon and Bryce; his fiancee, Angie Bonk and her children: Austin, Allie and
Beau; Naomi Schmidt and her children: Will, Hannah and Coralee, her fiance; Shawn
Sadowski and his son: Tyler; Daniel and Melissa (Krueger) Laabs; and sister-in-law:
Delores Wernecke, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Henry in 1981; one brother; Lloyd Wernecke; three sisters-in-law: Ella Raether,
Esther Ploeckelmann; and Minnie Wiederholdt.
Friends may call at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newtonburg, on
Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 6:30 p.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc,
is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
