Alfred N. Bast, 60, of 1002 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The
Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred A. Schneider will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Bast was born June 28, 1911, at St. Nazianz, son of the late Edward and Ann
Winter Bast. He was graduated from Valders High School with the Class of 1930.
He married Evangeline Braunel Feb. 17, 1936. The couple resided in Manitowoc. He
was employed at Rahr Malting Co., Manitowoc from May 19, 1944. He was a member
of the Brewers and Malthouse Union Local 297.
Survivors include his wife; a son; a daughter (Private); four brothers, Edward
and Bernard, of Detroit and Fred and Vincent, of Manitowoc and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home State Street entrance, from 4 to 9 p.m.
Friday where a memorial service will be held at 7 P.m.
