Roger G. Basler Jr., 41, of 21 Meadowbrook Court, Reedsville, died Sunday morning,
March 31, 1991, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Rev. James
Patterson will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military
graveside rites will be accorded by VFW Otto-Oas Post 659 of Manitowoc.
He was born April 23, 1949 in Marinette, Wis., son of Roger G. Basler Sr. and the
late Delores Getchell Basler. He married the former Kathy Holtz on July 12, 1980,
in Manitowoc. He was a two term Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States
Army.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Basler of Reedsville; four sons, Kenneth Basler,
Rober G. Basler III, James D. Basler, Steven Basler, all of Manitowoc; his father
and step mother, Roger Sr., and Mildred Basler of Manitowoc; four stepdaughters,
Katherine Barbano of Manitowoc, Lynette Barbano of Manitowoc, Laura Ruelle of
Reedsville, Melissa Ruelle of Reedsville; three grandchildren; two brothers and
sisters-in-law, James W. and Mary Basler of Manitowoc, Robert and Shirley Basler
of Manitowoc; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Jerry Bingman of Grand
Rapids, Mich., Gloria and Joseph Alears of Billings, Mont., Lori and Thomas Denor
of Manitowoc, Tina and Alvin Bruckner of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews and other
relatives and friends survive.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday
from 12 noon until the time of service.
